716 Live community connect presents David Jonathan, Abby Baez, and Demeca Evans three community activists in the 716.
Demeca Evans is the co-owner of D n A events, events with a purpose where the coordination of events take place.
Demeca was apart of one of the biggest event that took place in Buffalo N.Y. The 716 music awards, that had everyone talking some positive feedback and even some negative feedback was given.
The 716 music award event was a huge success for D n A events and the city of Buffalo has declared the 716 music awards officially 716 day here in Buffalo N.Y.
Evans also has mentorship program, she is definitely keeping her busy and giving back to the community.
David Jonathan is a local musician in the 716. He is the sole proprietor sense 84 entertainment, and he is also the owner of a band called David Jonathan and the inner city bedlam.
Jonathan has a quote that he lives by “so do it” he was asked to explain what this meant Jonathan says the quote means anything you want to do in life ,don’t question it ,don’t procrastinate you want to do it so do it with no excuses.
Abby Baez is the Co-owner of D n A events along side Demeca Evans. Evans And Baez are well known event coordinators in Buffalo N.Y.
Baez has a musical background, and will soon be taking her place in radio. Baez will have her own radio show where she will promote local talent and artist in the 716.
Baez is also in the process of building up her support groups for the mentally ill, helping people cope with depression in a healthier way.
Each activists were asked how they overcame obstacles to get to where they are now in life.
Baez and Evans reflected on the 716 Music awards and how much negative back lash they received. They overcame the backlash “we turned the hate into greatness” says Baez.
If their is anything you can take from this interview it is that success comes with both positivity and negativity. Learning to take constructive criticism is important to be successful. It is important to keep going higher and higher. Perseverance is truly key in success.
