The one and only Darnell Davis is known as being a local comedian born and raised in Buffalo Ny. Davis says being an only child sparked his imagination, and this led to his career in comedy. He finished school and began to take comedy more serious. Davis started opening up at open mic nights which eventually led to an opportunity of a life time. He opened up for the legendary Charlie Murphy. Charlie Murphy gave Davis five minutes on stage to prove his passion for comedy and that he had what it took. After showcasing his talent for a sold out crowd he knew comedy was what he wanted to do. Since then he took off with his career and never stopped. Davis is now a mentor for other comedians and he gets to pour into them everything he learned. Davis has now been in comedy for the last nine years and has certainly left his mark. For the last eight years Dennis has held a series called “The laugh out series” which has been a success. Davis is looked upon as a great role model. Davis grew up watching Def comedy jam and it intrigued him to learn the structure of comedy. Davis says his mother is his biggest inspiration to keep pushing in his career. Although she did not approve of it at first, eventually she fell in love with the way her son was so passionate about comedy.
