Paula Manzanal chats with Jasmine

Jasmine Reed The Author: What got you into modeling?

Paula Manzanal: To be honest, my mother. When I was a kid I used to be very shy! So mom thought the best way to become confident about myself and extrovert was getting me into modelling and acting. I was only 12! But so glad she made it happen.

Jasmine Reed The Author: How do you prepare for photoshoots?

Paula Manzanal:  I prefer the shoots to be taken at midday always. I don’t like eating before shoots, and I wear a waist trainer always 1 hour before starting my shoot so I can shape my body a bit more. It really helps!

Jasmine Reed The Author: What does it take to win a modeling competition?

Paula Manzanal: It takes a lot of dedication and responsibility. You must always be prepared in front of everyone during that time, so no lazy days with messy hair or no make up were allowed! Haha!

Jasmine Reed The Author: Any advice for anyone trying to grow their social media following?

Paula Manzanal: It’s important to find something interesting to show your followers. Always ask yourself “if I was someone else, why would I follow me?”. I think it helps a lot to put entertaining or innovating posts. Also, I find it very useful to always interact with other social media influencers. Commenting on their photo within the first 2 hours gives you visibility.

Jasmine Reed The Author: What are your plans for the future?

Paula Manzanal: My plans are not to make plans! I love my spontaneous life! But definitely be doing more and travelling. I would love to be a mother this year though.
