Diamond Dixie chats with 716 Live

Diamond Dixie has made Country music a family affair! These two sisters are taking the industry by storm! We’re so glad we got a chance to chat with them. Let’s dive into the interview!

Jasmine Reed The Author: How do your personalities differ?

Diamond Dixie: Bianca tends to be a little bit more outgoing than Gabriela and has a very spunky attitude. Gabriela is more sassy and sweet… Both of us are VERY sarcastic with each other!

Jasmine Reed The Author: What was it like performing at the House of Blues?

Diamond Dixie: We’ve played the House of Blues a couple times and every time we play it’s as if it’s the first time we’ve played there. It’s so cool playing there because it’s like playing in front of a couple thousand of our best friends! The House of Blues is definitely one of our favorite venues to play and we cant wait to be back on December 23rd!

Jasmine Reed The Author:  What does it take to be successful in Country music?

Diamond Dixie: Hard work and determination are definitely a couple things that it takes to be successful in Country music. These are the things that separates those that “want it” and those that “wish they had it”.

Jasmine Reed The Author: What was the inspiration behind your “Havana” cover?

Diamond Dixie: WE LOVE THAT SONG!!!!! It’s probably the furthest thing away from Country music but you just can’t NOT dance and sing to it!

Jasmine Reed The Author: Where did you learn to play guitar?

Diamond Dixie: Our dad is the one that taught us guitar. He’s played since he was in high school so we picked up guitar at a very young age.

Jasmine Reed The Author: What are your plans for 2018?

Diamond Dixie: Our plans for 2018 are to write more music, make more videos and possibly tour outside of the state of Florida!
