           8. Silly Bitches

“Silly Bitches” is a Phrase that is said to describe the DUMB things that Male/Females do Without thinking about the repercussions of their actions. Based on this definition alone… I’m sure we all could think of a few without even trying too hard… lol
I started using this phrase back in 2010… it started off as just something I’d say when I was out and saw something inappropriate going on or something ratchet… for example: I’m in the club and see a girl with her heels off because she’s either too drunk to walk in them or simply can’t take the pain of wearing them… “Silly Bitches”… as I begin to use it more and more on Facebook… people began to tag me in things they saw or situations they were in that called for the phrase. After so many tags… I said to myself “maybe I should get this trademarked”… and so I did.. so many people told me I could never register a name like that… but I did… and I’ve been in Business for 3 years and can truly say it’s a blessing!
          9. Studio Ayana

Studio Ayana was conceptualised in 2015 and is amongst the foremost labels in the fashion industry with clients from Auckland, New Zealand to Vancouver, Canada. Ayana combines vibrant, luxurious craftsmanship with social ethos to bring exquisite fashion right to the doorstep of vivacious women around the world.

Ayana’s designers Pooja & Latha are credited as being instrumental in bringing a contemporary vernacular to traditional clothing. As traditional Indian clothes that draw heavily on the textile and embroidery heritage of India de-evolve,  Ayana is pushing the boundaries of traditionalism to meet the changing needs of the new generation – to re-inspire the younger generation back to Indian clothing with a contemporary twist. We have evolved radically with each collection, translating locally sourced exquisite materials and embellishments into refreshingly creative and astonishingly contemporary silhouettes.

We strive to add color to our customer’s life through our resplendent and mesmerizing collections, that allow immense opportunity to express their moods, attitude, and personality.

In 2016 the label launched a sub brands –  Ayana Royale and Ayana Edge. Royale re-established the forte of traditional Indian design and is aimed at clothing for more traditional functions. The Edge collection caters to the younger generation displaying crop tops, skirts and lehengas.

We take immense pride in prioritizing quality over quantity and obsess over sourcing the most vibrant and high quality raw materials from weavers across the country. We endeavor to bring a world class product by paying meticulous attention to detail to every single exquisite product our craftsmen create.

Why Ayana ?

The name Ayana comes from the African-American origin.

In Ethiopian, Ayana means “a pretty flower“

In Persian, it means “inspiration“

Studio Ayana draws inspiration from nature, travel and women. We have traveled the globe from ancient China, to distant New Zealand to draw motivation for our creations.

That’s a little about Our Ayana.

We are predominantly into designing sarees, bridal and festive lehengas, party wear skirts and crop tops in Indian prints/ materials. Our prices are from Rs. 5500 and upwards over Rs. 50,000.

         10. India Customs

Hi everyone. My name is India Hector and here’s my fur story. I started to make a simple for sandal so it could resemble Rihanna Puma Slide. I knew I was not spending $80 on a summer sandal. So… I did and posted a picture of a white sandal with multi color fur and it was a hit in the Buffalo area. I then later received an inquiry about a “fur set” which includes a fur bra and fur panty. Then I figured I can put fur on pretty much anything. I do fur bras, fur panties, fur purses, fur phone cases, fur sandals, and fur wallets. I’m very reachable and offer delivery in the Buffalo area and also ship for an extra fee. My prices are very affordable and I offer all sizes. Obviously prices go up with bigger cup sizes but nothing is off limits! I’d like this so carry on for a while so help me spread the word! My  Facebook page is “India Customs” and does accept messages from anyone.

          12. STORY

Have you heard? Retail has a new STORY. Set in a 2000 square foot store located in Manhattan’s 10th Ave. retail corridor, STORY is a retail concept that takes the point of view of a magazine, changes like a gallery and sells things like a store. That means every four to eight weeks, STORY completely reinvents itself -from the design to the merchandise – with the goal of bringing to light a new theme, trend or issue.

“I think it’s a very revolutionary type of retail: ephemeral retail – the concept of product as content.”

Trish Mueller
CMO, Home Depot

So how did it get started? Founded by Rachel Shechtman, a former brand consultant for Kraft, TOMS shoes and Lincoln, the idea was to create a retail concept that would serve as a matchmaker between brands and consumers, integrating strategies of marketing, merchandising, and business development.

“There is a huge value for brands in having a place where you can experiment, and to have a lab that actually creates a profit and a recurring revenue stream, and gives people a good experience.”

Beth Comstock,

In 2011, STORY launched in Beta as a “Startup Store,” spotlighting emerging digital retailers and has gone on to create concepts including Color, Making Things, Love, and Made in America, working with partners including American Express, Intel, and Target. Constants of its ever-changing model: a view of retail that goes beyond the transaction and a permanent space where the experience is everything and collaboration tells a STORY. What comes next…you’ll just have to wait and see.
